How we compared
AccountMade wrote this page, so read it as a vendor's comparison. We rank no one first, and every rival fact links to the rival's own page.
We checked each tool on three things a security reviewer can verify without a sales call:
- Published price. Does the vendor's own pricing page show a plan price, or only "talk to sales"?
- Questionnaire drafting on the cheapest public plan. Can a buyer on the lowest published plan draft questionnaire answers?
- An approval step before anything is shared. Does the vendor's own page describe one?
Every price and claim below was read on the vendor's page on 2026-10-20. Where a page does not say, the table says "not published", not a guess. Vendor accuracy and speed figures are the vendor's own claims, not tests we ran. Skypher's post is the page we compared against: it ranks Skypher first3 and is dated August 13, 20263.

Skypher: 50+ portal connectors and a quote-only price
Skypher is the strongest fit here for teams whose buyers send questionnaires through portals. It says it has over 50 proprietary portal connectors3, and its post says security leads can assign tasks and receive approvals in real time3.
On price, Skypher's post says pricing is quote-based3, and its pricing page offers a custom quote4. A buyer cannot compare a Skypher price with anything else without a sales conversation.
Skypher says it is optimized for teams handling 20 plus questionnaires per year3. Its 96% accuracy figure is Skypher's own claim in its own post3; we did not test it.
Choose Skypher over AccountMade if your buyers mostly send portal questionnaires and you need a vendor that lists connectors. AccountMade lists none.
Conveyor: a free trust center plan, questionnaires on a custom plan
Conveyor's pricing page shows a Free plan at $0 a year5. That plan says "No access to Questionnaire Automation"5, so the free plan does not help with questionnaires. The Enterprise plan is custom: "Pay for what you use, with volume discounts"5.
Skypher's post lists Conveyor as "Free tier available; from $9,600/year"3. Conveyor's own pricing page, read the same day, shows no $9,600 figure. If you see that number in a comparison, ask Conveyor for it in writing.
Conveyor lists a "Browser extension for customer portals" in its plan table5 and "SSO with SCIM provisioning, public API" under Enterprise settings5. It claims 95%+ accuracy5, which is a vendor claim.
Choose Conveyor over AccountMade if you need SSO with SCIM, a portal browser extension, or a free trust center to start.
SafeBase (Drata): trust center first, questionnaire help in tiers
SafeBase is sold through Drata's plans. Drata's plans page shows no prices or dollar figures7. It names Foundation, Advanced and Enterprise tiers7, and lists "Questionnaire Assistance for Up to 100 Questionnaires" under Foundation7. A third-party review from Wolfia, a competitor, says the entry tier covers 10 questionnaires8. We use Drata's own figure and flag the difference.
Drata's page lists SAML/SSO under Foundation7 and SCIM under Advanced7. On approval, Wolfia says SafeBase's AI drafts from a Knowledge Base that experts fill in and approve8. That is a third-party description, not Drata's wording.
Choose SafeBase over AccountMade if you already run compliance on Drata, want a trust center buyers can self-serve from, or need SAML SSO.
Vanta: questionnaire automation inside a compliance platform
Vanta's pricing page publishes no plan price and tells buyers to request a demo for personalized pricing6. It does publish allowances: Plus lists 25 questionnaires per year6 and Professional lists 1446. Its comparison table also lists a "Browser extension for portals and documents"6.
Vanta's product page describes approval workflows with owners and approvers for each stage of review9, and claims "81% faster completion of security reviews"9. That figure is Vanta's own.
Choose Vanta over AccountMade if you also want compliance automation, such as the "Automated evidence collection for audit readiness" on its pricing page6, in the same product as questionnaire automation. We compare the two in detail on our Vanta page.
AccountMade: the approval gate and a $99 per user starting price
AccountMade is a workflow for answering buyer security reviews from approved claims: it drafts the security brief from approved control claims2. Nothing reaches a buyer until a person approves it2, and each control claim keeps its source, version and approver2. It checks each requirement in a buyer's questionnaire against approved evidence and shows what is supported, what needs a document and what is a gap2.
Prices are on the pricing page. Pro is $99 per user a month1. Business is $149 per user a month, with an audit log and a named contact for setup1; above 10 users, book a demo1. Drafts are unlimited on every plan, and each user can start up to 10 new drafts a day1. Viewers and external recipients are free1. Exports are DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML and PDF1.
A 14-day trial is free, needs no card and does not convert automatically1.
When not to choose AccountMade
Pick another tool if any of these is a requirement:
- You need SAML SSO or SCIM. AccountMade lists both as not currently available1. Conveyor lists SSO with SCIM5; Drata lists SAML/SSO and SCIM7.
- You need a customer API, contractual retention or data residency. AccountMade lists all three as not currently available1.
- Your buyers send portal questionnaires. We found no portal connectors or browser extension on AccountMade's pages. Skypher lists over 50 connectors3; Conveyor and Vanta list portal browser extensions56.
- You want a published accuracy figure. We found none on AccountMade's pages. Skypher, Conveyor and Vanta publish their own, which are vendor claims.
- You need a trust center or compliance automation in the same product. AccountMade is not a compliance platform.

- What is the best security questionnaire automation software?
- It depends on what your buyers send. Skypher lists over 50 portal connectors3. Conveyor lists SSO with SCIM5, and Drata lists SCIM7. AccountMade is the only tool in this table with a published paid plan price, $99 per user a month for Pro1, and it requires approval before sharing2.
- Which security questionnaire automation tools publish a price?
- AccountMade and Conveyor's Free plan do. AccountMade lists Pro at $99 and Business at $149 per user a month1, and asks teams above 10 users to book a demo1; Conveyor's Free plan is $0 a year but has no questionnaire automation5. Vanta and Drata publish no plan price67, and Skypher offers a custom quote4.
- Which security questionnaire automation tools save the most engineering hours?
- No vendor page we read publishes an independent time-saved test. The figures are vendor claims: Skypher says 10x faster3 and Vanta says 81% faster9. Run your own last three questionnaires through each trial and count the answers your team still edits.
