Choose the purpose of each channel
| Channel | Job | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|
| Documentation | Explain a task and its constraints | Run a bounded integration or follow a reference |
| Community | Collect questions and share examples | Answer, clarify, or route a reproducible issue |

Public examples
GitHub describes Discussions as a forum where a project community can ask and answer questions, share updates, and participate in open-ended conversations. That makes it useful for discovery and shared problem-solving when maintainers also provide clear documentation and issue-routing rules.
Supabase’s documentation exposes its core product areas and implementation guides. The useful observation is that a developer can start with a specific technical object—database, identity, storage, or function—rather than a generic product narrative. Public documentation does not show which source created a pipeline opportunity.

A reusable content plan
Start with ten recurring developer questions from support, implementations, and sales calls. For each, publish a narrow reference or tutorial, state the supported boundary, include one runnable or inspectable next step, and link to the corresponding evaluation material. Track whether the question is resolved and whether readers reach the next step; do not mistake page views for developer adoption.
