Technical B2B sales deck examples

Use a technical sales deck to answer the buying group’s questions about fit, cost, access, and the next test. Start with the decision and system boundary. Include only features and company context that change the evaluation.

Three reusable deck structures

Illustrative worked example. Names, volumes, dates, and outcomes are fictional; replace them with approved evidence before use.

Each structure uses the same product facts in a different reading order.
Use caseSlide sequenceConcrete decision
Technical fitCurrent workflow → system boundary → integration flow → limits → test planCan the product read approved records without changing the ledger?
Security reviewData map → identity model → access events → response process → review requestsCan the security lead assess the pilot boundary?
Business approvalBaseline → options → cost assumptions → POC result → decision requestShould the team fund the next phase?

A seven-slide technical evaluation deck

Illustrative worked example. Names, volumes, dates, and outcomes are fictional; replace them with approved evidence before use.

Slide 1: ‘Exception evidence retrieval for finance operations’ defines the decision: can analysts investigate 30 selected exceptions without manual exports? Slide 2 maps the current CSV handoff and names the controller. Slide 3 shows a read-only connector, workspace role, and audit record. Slide 4 lists prerequisites: export access, retention decision, and sandbox owner. Slide 5 defines the pass result: 28 of 30 records link to the correct source. Slide 6 records limits: no ledger writes, no production rollout, and no regional-storage conclusion. Slide 7 requests approval for a ten-business-day pilot and names the test owners.

Real vendor documentation to use as technical references

These are real vendor documentation pages, not sales decks. WorkOS documents Directory Sync as a connection to directory providers that can report user, group, and access-rule changes. Supabase documents product areas and security patterns such as row-level access policies. Vercel documents access choices for protected deployment URLs. A technical deck can link to this type of primary material when a reviewer needs detail beyond the slide.

Review before sending

  • Label estimates and scenarios.
  • Show data direction and the system boundary on every architecture diagram.
  • Name the recipient’s next decision and owner.
  • State the material limits of the proposed evaluation.
